About Us - IRDA Hangul

The integrated Rural Development Agency (IRDA) , Hangul, Manipur was introduced by some local youth and students, social workers and well-wishers with an idea for the overall improvement of the rural and backward people regarding the social, economic, Educational, sports & cultural and hygienic conditions etc. irrespective of caste, creed, colour and religion. It came into existence as a non-governmental, non-political, non- sectorian, non-domination, secular and non-profit making agency in the year 1986 and was registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act. XXI of 1860 in the year 1988, registered under FCRA 1976 and also registered under 12AA & 80G of Income Tax Act.

IRDA visualizes a just and healthy society having economic sustainability, peaceful co-existence and democratic governance.

Mission

IRDA strives for strengthening the capacities of youths, women & children, CSOs, POs and other social groups to ensure good governance and social justice.

Objectives

To strengthen the capacity of Youths for nation building for ensuring a well-established society.

To empower women capacity for establishing a gender balanced society.

To work for ensuring democratic and fundamental rights of poor & marginalized groups, minorities and other weaker sections of the society.

To empower capacities of farmers, wage earners and entrepreneurs to ensure sustainable society and strengthen.

To empower and strengthen the capacities of women and children to ensure basic fundamental rights of women & children.

To work for ensuring a drug free society in Manipur.

To work for ensuring a sustainable climate zone in general and Manipur in particular.

To work for ensuring peace and harmony in Manipur and North East.

To work for ensuring sustainable livelihood in the state.
